Cookie policy

Last updated: May 19, 2026

This policy explains which cookies XPFEED uses, what they are for and how you can manage them. Advertising and analytics are only enabled if you accept them in the consent message.

What are cookies?

A cookie is a small text file that a website stores in your browser to remember information between visits, such as your active session or your preferences. Similar technologies, like the browser's local storage, are also used. Below we list every cookie XPFEED uses, split between necessary and non-essential ones.

Necessary cookies

These are essential for the site to work and do not require your consent. If you block them, you will not be able to log in or browse normally. XPFEED uses these:

  • authjs.session-token (and its secure variant __Secure-authjs.session-token) — Auth.js, first-party — keeps your session active — expires when you log out or after a period of inactivity.
  • authjs.csrf-token — Auth.js, first-party — protects the login flow against cross-site request forgery (CSRF) attacks — session cookie.
  • authjs.callback-url — Auth.js, first-party — remembers which page to return to after login — session cookie.
  • xpfeed_locale — XPFEED, first-party — remembers the interface language you chose (Spanish or English) — lasts up to 1 year.

Analytics and advertising cookies (non-essential)

These are only set if you accept them in the consent message. They are third-party cookies managed by Google:

  • Google AdSense cookies (for example __gads, __gpi or __eoi) — Google, third-party — display ads, measure their performance and, where applicable, personalize them — duration of up to 13 months.
  • Google Analytics cookies (for example _ga and _ga_XXXXXXXXXX) — Google, third-party — measure how the site is used in aggregate — duration of up to 2 years.
  • Google consent cookies — Google, third-party — store your choice to accept or reject so you are not asked again on every visit.

Your consent

Advertising and analytics run on Google Consent Mode. When you enter the site, ad and analytics storage starts denied: neither Google AdSense nor Google Analytics set cookies or collect data until you accept in the consent message. If you reject it, those services do not store cookies or track you. Necessary cookies are outside consent because the site would not work without them.

How to manage your cookies

You can change your decision about non-essential cookies at any time from the consent message. Your browser also lets you block or delete cookies from its settings. You can review and adjust Google's personalized advertising at g.co/adsettings and manage industry advertising cookies at youronlinechoices.eu. Note that blocking necessary cookies may prevent the site from working.
